How does the booking process work in ZimmerSoftware?
Create booking: Click “Booking” in the menu to open the booking plan.

Then select an available area in the booking plan (e.g. an unoccupied double room) and click on it to create a new booking.

Enter travel dates: In the booking section, you will find the arrival and departure fields.
Click the departure date to open the calendar and select the guest’s departure date.

Assign customer or company: To the left of the arrival/departure dates, you can use “Search customer” or “Search company” to look for existing entries in the database.
Always check whether the customer or company has already been created.
If no match is found, you can create a new entry using “New customer” or “New company”.

Additional information: Use the icons to add further details, for example whether the guest is travelling with a pet (paw icon). This will also be displayed in the booking plan.

Check-in and guest sheet: Above the customer section, you will find the “Check-in” and “Guest sheet” functions.
Click “Check-in” when the guest arrives.
With “Guest sheet”, you can view and print all stored details for the guest to sign.

Check-out and invoice: When the guest departs, click “Check-out”.

You can then create the invoice:
First, use “Preview” to check the invoice content.
If everything is correct, click “Create” to generate the invoice with a sequential invoice number.

This completes the entire booking process and the guest can depart.
